The Monreale Doc Wine Route extends behind Palermo, along a circuit that enters the municipality of Monreale, partly includes the Piana degli Albanesi area and fully involves the municipalities of Camporeale, San Giuseppe Jato, San Cipirello, Santa Cristina Gela, Corleone and Roccamena.
It is an area that bewitches for the architectural splendor of the Cathedral of Monreale, the greatest example of Norman architecture in Sicily; for the archaeological excavations on Mount Jato, which have brought to light evidence of settlements dating back to the beginning of the first millennium BC. and for the ethnic and cultural heritage represented by Piana degli Albanesi.
