Sertura's Fiano di Avellino D.O.C.G. is a wine made from 100% Fiano grapes.
Fiano is one of the oldest and most illustrious native grape varieties found in Campania, whose origins can even be traced back to Phoenician times.
Columella and Pliny the Elder in his "Naturalis Historia" spoke of an "apiana" grape, sweet enough to attract bees, from which the term "Fiano" would presumably derive.
A very strong and hardy vine, present in the places of Irpinia since very ancient times.
From which is produced one of the most beloved and well-known white wines in Italy and the world for its innate elegance, Fiano di Avellino.
Recognized DOCG in 2003, this wine is also widely known for its ability to age as well as for a versatility of food pairings ranging from the most delicate and simple to the most complex dishes.
