The Winery & Farm “Terre di Perseto” is placed on the sweet Chianti Classico's hills, between the cozy villages of San Casciano Val di Pesa and Greve in Chianti, in one of the most well-known areas for the production of Chianti Classico wines and extra virgin olive oils.
The farm covers a total area of about 47 hectares, 25 of which are cultivated with vineyards, 5 with olive groves and 11 are woods. The farm was founded by Mr. Metello Sabatini at the end of the Fifties of the XX century, and it is today led by his nephews Niccolò and Daniel Martelli who, with passion and dedication, are continuing the family traditions, producing wines with grapes coming exclusively from their own vineyards.
The company produces, in addition to award-winners Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva and IGT Tuscany Red, White and Rosé wines, also Tuscan and D.O.P. Chianti Classico's extra-virgin olive oils, Vin Santo del Chianti Classico, Grappa di Chianti Classico and balsamic table dressings. Some years ago the company started a small cultivation of 'berries' (blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, tayberries, strawberries) for the production of extra rich jams and fruit-based liqueurs.
