Relais La Torre is an ancient rural complex of Lombard origin nestled in the quiet Tuscan countryside, a few kilometers from Arezzo.
For more than 10 years our family has been producing fruits of the earth in absolute respect of the organic method for the ethics of our history and those who work there, for those who taste our products and for the commitment we put every day in trying to improve ourselves, to meet the expectations of customers and be proud of what we do.
The beauty of our land and the variety of its resources form the basis of our products of excellence.
We grow raw materials with organic methods and transform them into traditional culinary specialties in the freshness and fragrance of the products and sustainability of production. The diverse vineyard planted toSangiovese, Merlot, Trebbiano, Malvasia and other varietals are harvested by hand and vinified by our winemaker Federico Guidelli in the care and anticipation of aging in oak barrels or caratelli stored in our evocative cellars. Our wines are fine in tone and palate, authentic in their expression and solid in taste and balance of tannins, aromas and enveloping scents.
Our olive grove planted with Leccino, Moraiolo and Frantoio olives produces our fine extra virgin olive oil, which, thanks to quality crushing and our preservation method, retains all the fragrance and freshness of the aromas all the way to your table.
The products of our cooking classes and preparations are fresh from our garden, our fields and selected growers that provide the basis for traditional and authentic high quality specialties.
In September, during the harvest, perfectly ripe and carefully selected bunches of grapes are hand-picked and quickly transported to the cool cellar to begin processing.
Our two Chianti DOCGs are both made from 100% Sangiovese grapes sourced from vineyards ranging in altitude from 300 to 400 meters above sea level.
Despite our dedication to the single varietal, we also decided to give our sangiovese a modern twist, creating a pleasant and balanced blend with the merlot that has taken fertile and vigorous root in our hills. Thus were born the two IGT labels, I Lastricheti and Macchione.
For the Chianti and Macchione reserves, we use grapes from vineyards planted at the highest altitudes, which rise along the slopes of a steep, fully exposed hillside with stony, gravelly soil.
