From a small group of producers to a point of reference for Morellino di Scansano
Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano was founded in 1972 by a small group of local producers. The group grew rapidly and in the 1980s made an important choice: to focus on quality rather than quantity.
This decision required huge investments from the members and considerable effort in the vineyard. Not all producers chose to stay, but those who did were particularly motivated.
Today, the sacrifices of those pioneers have paid off. The winery has about 700 hectares of vineyards, mainly in the area around Scansano, Magliano in Toscana and Pitigliano. There are about 170 members and production is always focused on quality.
The cooperative winery is an example of success based on quality with a strong focus on sustainability, both environmental and social, to safeguard our territory, our members and consumers.
Today, the winery is a point of reference for wine enthusiasts from all over the world and helps promote the culture of wine and the Maremma region.

Can I come with my dog?
Small-sized dogs can take part in the tour of the Winery, as long as you can hold them in your arms or in a suitable bag during the visit to the production area. During the tasting it will be enough to keep them on the leash. .
Medium and large-sized dogs can access the tasting area, always on the leash, but not the production area.
Is the Winery wheelchair-accessible?
Yes, the winery is whellchair-accessible. Should differently able wine lovers participate in the tour, we kindly ask you to let us know in advance when making the reservation so we can make sure that the itinerary in the production area will have no obstacles on the day of the tour.
Can I bring my children?
Children are welcome! If your children are under 3 years old, we recommend picking the SMART visit as it's shorter since it only includes the tour of the winery.
Do children pay?
Children up to 6 years old don't pay. Between 6 and 17 years old children pay the reduced fee based on each package.
Do you accept visits from larger groups?
Of course! Our parking space is large enough to welcome coaches and even car and motorbike rallies. To plan the visit in the best possible way, we invite you to email shop@vignaiolidiscansano.it.
I have a food allergy, do you provide suitable food pairings?
In case of food allergies, we can arrange some suitable alternatives. Any allergy, however, needs to be communicated when booking the tour.
Do those who don't drink wine need to pay too?
Our packages are full experiences that include the tour of the production areas, the storytelling of our Winery and of the region, the tasting of typical products on top of the wines. For this reason, even adults who don't drink wine are asked to pay their fee.

All reservations marked "Free Cancellation" can be canceled without any cost. The box specifies up to how many hours before the start it is possible to cancel.
