Barbera del Monferrato DOC represents viticultural excellence derived from Barbera vines planted in 2006 and 2012, on a total of 1.15 hectares in production. Cultivated with Guyot training system, the vineyard is carefully managed to ensure a yield of 71 quintals per hectare, optimizing grape quality.
This DOC wine is certified by Valoritalia S.r.l. and carries the 2023 vintage, with an alcohol content of 14.5% Vol. and a sulfite content of 35 mg/liter. Harvesting is entirely by hand, with vinification involving a six-day maceration at a controlled temperature of 27°C. Malolactic fermentation is successfully completed, giving the wine remarkable stability and structure.
During the winemaking process, no clarifying agents were used, allowing the wine to evolve naturally in the bottle. Over time, it is recommended that it be gently poured or caraffined to promote the natural sedimentation of colloidals and salts at the bottom.
Barbera del Monferrato DOC has a deep red color and offers a structured, warm and soft taste, enriched by a justly tannic freshness that enhances its complexity. It is an ideal wine to pair with earthy first courses, meat main courses, cheeses and cured meats, best expressing the characteristics of the Monferrato territory in every sip.
