Paradiso di Frassina, an ancient farm dating back to the Middle Ages, is located a few kilometres from Montalcino, one of the best areas for the production of Brunello di Montalcino.
Vigneron Giancarlo Cignozzi says: "In 1999 my dream was to create a small winery on a human scale, where I could realise an innovative project that I had been cherishing for a long time ... namely to promote research into the beneficial effects of musical frequencies in the vineyard!
Today, more than 50 loudspeakers are playing Mozart's music 24 hours a day. Together with a number of universities, we are studying the effects of sound waves on vines and grapes, with surprising results: the vines are healthier and stronger without the use of chemicals, and the grapes are richer in polyphenols!
We are a certified organic farm since 2008 and we try to respect the terroir as much as possible, producing wines that are as natural as possible and respectful of the characteristics of Sangiovese Grosso, the main grape variety of Brunello di Montalcino!
Paradiso di Frassina is a unique place where you can taste wine among the rows of vines listening to Mozart's music.
The enchanting view offers a unique and uncontaminated scenery of the Val d'Orcia, considered "World Heritage" by Unesco, for its hills, woods, vineyards and olive groves that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Those who visit Paradiso di Frassina, as well as immersing themselves in the virtuous cycle of the splendid Brunello di Montalcino vineyards, will feel pleasantly caressed by the harmonies of Mozart, diffused everywhere by the many loudspeakers scattered among the rows, in complete ecstasy with nature.... A paradise between music and vineyards.
