Discover our Vermentino IGT, a white wine of exceptional quality from the hills of Montepulciano. Made from 100% Vermentino grapes, this wine embodies the freshness and vibrancy of the Tuscan terroir. Cultivated at an altitude between 260 and 280 metres on soils of sand, clay and silt, with the characteristic presence of Galestro, a typical Tuscan stone, our Vermentino is the result of careful viticulture.
The yield per hectare is 110-120 quintals and the planting density is 5,000 vines per hectare. With an annual production of 6,000 bottles, each bottle represents careful selection and painstaking processing. The training system used is the Guyot, which allows optimal management of the vines to guarantee the highest quality of the grapes.
The fermentation process begins with immediate pressing, followed by fermentation in steel vats lasting approximately 12 days at controlled temperatures between 14°C and 16°C. This process favours the development of the thiol and aromatic component typical of Vermentino. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation, thus maintaining its natural freshness. Ageing takes place for 4-6 months in stainless steel barrels and a further 2 months in the bottle, giving the wine balance and complexity.
On organoleptic examination, Vermentino presents a light straw yellow colour with golden hues. The nose releases intense scents of peach blossom and jasmine, as well as fruity notes of citrus, passion fruit, white peach and apricot. On the palate, the wine is well balanced, with a lively acidity and persistence that make it fresh and pleasant.
The ideal serving temperature for this Vermentino is between 10 and 12°C. Thanks to its natural freshness and versatility, it is perfect with aperitifs and fish starters, as well as with shellfish and refined, flavoured white meat dishes. It also pairs beautifully with fresh cheeses.
Our Vermentino IGT represents the perfect combination of tradition and innovation, offering a tasting experience that captures the essence of the Tuscan territory and satisfies the most demanding palates.
