Discover the elegance and freshness of Rosato di Toscana IGT, a wine that encapsulates the vibrant soul of Sangiovese di Montepulciano. Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, this wine best expresses the character of the Montepulciano terroir. The vines, cultivated at an altitude between 260 and 280 metres, are rooted in soils of sand, clay and silt, enriched by the presence of Galestro, a typical Tuscan stone. With a planting density of 5,000 vines per hectare and a yield of 110-120 quintals per hectare, annual production stands at 6,000 bottles.
Vinification begins with immediate pressing of the grapes, followed by fermentation in steel vats lasting about 12 days at controlled temperatures between 14°C and 16°C. This process is fundamental for developing the aromatic components typical of Sangiovese. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation, thus maintaining its natural freshness. Ageing takes place for 4-6 months in stainless steel barrels and then for a further 2 months in the bottle, guaranteeing perfect balance and refined complexity.
The Rosato di Toscana IGT has a brilliant pink colour with powdery highlights. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of rose and white violet, accompanied by fruity notes of wild strawberries and cherries. On the palate, its mineral freshness and savouriness are perfectly balanced by good structure and persistence, making it a pleasant and versatile wine.
Ideal with aperitifs, fish dishes, fresh cheeses, vegetable starters and pizzas, this rosé will win you over with its pleasantness and its ability to adapt to different culinary occasions. The recommended serving temperature is 12-14°C, to best appreciate all its organoleptic nuances.
The Rosato di Toscana IGT represents an excellent expression of Sangiovese di Montepulciano, offering a fresh and elegant tasting experience that will satisfy even the most demanding palates.
