Vernaccia di San Gimignano is the first Italian wine to obtain DOC status. Due to its high and consistent quality, it also later obtained DOCG status. A wine liked by rulers and pontiffs, refined gourmets of the period, to the point of deserving a place in purgatory among gluttons "a purgar per digiuno le anguille e la vernaccia." Some claim that Vernaccia originated in Liguria, in the Cinque Terre. We would not like to say amenity, but the appearance is not so dissimilar to the Bosco grape both in terms of the shape of the grain and the productive capacity. In this case we operate a true selection of the best grapes from our Vigna del Sole.
Why Choose It:
The Vigna del Sole is ideal for those seeking an elegant and versatile white wine, perfect for accompanying light dishes. Its freshness and acidity make it suitable as an aperitif or for appetizers, enhancing flavors without overpowering them.
