The origins of the Ca'Tullio winery date back to the end of the nineteenth century, when the structure was built in 1928 that would have experienced a radiant development as an agricultural activity by the Tullio family. 

At the time it was one of the most significant economic realities of the territory, so that there was not Aquileia that did not have at least one relative who worked there.

"This imposing and functional four-storey structure experienced a flourishing period for the production of fruit, vegetables, rootstocks for the vine (Kober) and grains but especially for the drying of tobacco.

On the ground floor inside the cells, in fact, was placed a bed of embers covered with sheet metal so as to heat the room, allowing the dehydration of the leaves of the tobacco plant that were hung in long rows of hanging ropes.

Around 1980 the company was taken over and experienced a new momentum, but it is between 1994 and 1999 that the company sees the real rebirth, when the entire complex is renovated while retaining the charm of the original structure.

"Today the new production activity is entirely dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards.

A process of architectural restructuring that has seen the skilful use of traditional materials such as wood and brick, combined with a burnished steel structure at sight. It is the handing down of a precious history of a place that has been able to find new life becoming today one of the rare examples of industrial archaeology of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The winery has been included in the official catalogue of Turismo FVG as one of the most beautiful places that deserve to be visited.

"Our vineyards extend between the terroirs of the DOC Friuli Aquileia and DOC Colli Orientali areas. Different places but with a common language, which speaks to us of tradition and attachment to the land.

These lands, located in the North East of Italy between the Northern Adriatic and the Carnic and Julian Alps, have an incredible variety of types of land, even in the same plot. The variability of the land means that, a few meters away, alternating gravelly veins with yellowish marls and darker clays mixed with sand.
