Cantina Ramaddini is located in the heart of the Val di Noto, in the south-east of Sicily, a few hundred metres from the picturesque seaside village of Marzamemi. Twenty hectares of vineyards and a winery located in an area that the ancient Greeks called Pachys Oinos, or Pachino, the "land rich in wine".
Founded in 2003 by the passion and love for their land of the entrepreneurs Carlo Scollo and Francesco Ristuccia, Feudo Ramaddini is a young but already well-established company in Sicily, thanks to the dedication and constancy of the work carried out daily by its founders. In the vineyard and in the cellar they, together with their collaborators, follow the various stages of production of a wine that tells the story of a territory that has always been linked to art, culture and ancient knowledge, on which the winery's activities are based.
From the use of ancient techniques for working the vines to the scrupulous care of the wine-growers during the delicate phases of the harvest, pressing and fermentation, the Ramaddini winery produces with an eye to safeguarding the environment, through a conversion to organic farming that has characterised its activities in recent years. This natural production is fully in line with the philosophy of the Italian Federation of Independent Winegrowers, of which the winery is a member because it firmly believes in the values of the world of wine.
In just a few years, Feudo Ramaddini's business has grown to win prestigious awards for the quality of its products in various Italian and international wine competitions, from the "Vino quotidiano" awarded by the "Slowine 2017" guide to the "Premio Dojua d'Or", from the "International Wine Challenge 2016" competition in London to the "5 stars" awarded at Vinitaly, as well as numerous mentions from Gambero Rosso, Duemilavini, i Vini di Veronelli, Vini buoni d'Italia of the Touring Club and Vitae of Ais Italia.
