Amarone is one of the oldest Italian wines. In the 4th century AD, Cassiodorus, king of the Goths, described a wine called Acinatico.
Probably by chance, the production of a completely dry recioto gave rise to this wine in the past.
Obtained DOC status in 1968, Amarone represents a small part of Valpolicella's production.
Since the times of Cassiodoro almost nothing has changed and the production method has remained artisanal.
Amarone is a wine rich in alcohol, glycerine and resveratrol, it is a wine that cannot be compared with any other in the world, even when it comes to longevity.
With its deep garnet red colour, intense bouquet and dry flavour, it goes well with game dishes, roasts and mature cheeses.
Served between meals, it is an extraordinary meditation wine.

Smell | Colore rosso rubino carico, con brillanti riflessi granati. Profumo intenso, caldo, etereo.
Pairing | Arrosti, carne ai ferri, selvaggina, formaggi piccanti e stagionati. Ottimo vino da meditazione. |
