The tour starts from the viewpoint with a detailed explanation about the history of the farm and the surrounding ecosystem consisting of forest, vineyards and orchards.
Across the courtyard, one reaches the barn divided into different rooms that house 220 head of Piedmontese Fassona cattle.
The next step concerns the winemaking and aging rooms, where oak barrels are located.
Before the tasting takes place, we linger in the small crutin, a room carved into the tuff.
The tasting includes the tasting of 4 estate glasses of your choice,
accompanied by farm products: cured meats, hazelnuts and apricot jam. A tasting of cheeses purchased from a small local producer is also offered.
Closing December 11 to February 28
.Situated on a picturesque hillside in Canale, in the center of the Roero wine region in Piedmont, our family business was established in the 1800s.
We are a diversified business, producing not only wine, but also engaged in breeding Piedmontese cattle and growing fruit trees: the nocciola "tonda e gentile della Langa" and ancient varieties of apricots.
Still today, the wine matures in oak barrels between the stone and brick walls of the "crutin," the cellar dug by hand since the 17th century.
